Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

The weathermen had been predicting all week that we were going to get snow, and man they weren't kidding!! According to the news, we haven't seen snow like this since 1964. Robert and I figure that we got about 8-9 inches of snow and it was so exciting. This is the first time my kids have ever seen snow and they had a blast!! We woke up Thursday morning to a winter wonderland with the snow covering the ground. It wasn't freezing yet, so school wasn't canceled. It snowed all day long, literally, and by the time we got home that afternoon everything was gorgeous. The girls built a snowman with Robert, which was a little pathetic looking. However, he was trying to hurry because it was almost dinnertime. Braden just kept walking around in the snow and loved to step in it and watch his feet disappear.

The next day school was closed, but we just stayed indoors and enjoyed having a day off. By Saturday, the snow was starting to melt away so Robert took the kids outside again to build one more snowman. This one was a lot bigger, but the snow wasn't as pretty since it took on a lot of the dirt when he was making it.

All in all, this was so exciting and who knows when we will see snow like this again in Texas.
