Carving pumpkins

We started a tradition of letting the kids carve their pumpkins on Halloween, or close to it, at least! Since we bought the pumpkins so early, we wait until closer to Halloween so that they don't rot and look disgusting before it's time to light them up into Jack O'Lanterns.

Robert helps the girls with their designs and draws on the pumpkins what face they want to have.

Not sure how I missed a picture of Braden's?!

Now, the fun begins. Taking all of the guts out of the pumpkin, which I do not like to do! This is why I take the pictures and Robert helps in the "grossness" of the entire event.

I think my girls share the same feelings I do about the whole process...


Bailey's is seriously contemplating whether or not she wants to put her hand in there!


She finally does and does not like it one bit.


Even Braden is not too sure about this...


He doesn't seem too grossed out, anyway.
