"Dangly" earrings

Since Bailey had her ears pierced at age 5, she has been asking for dangly earrings. I have put this off for a couple of years from my own personal experience as a child that was not a good one. I caught an earring on a chair in school one year and it ripped the earring out of my ear. Luckily, it wasn't a big issue, but I had fears that Bailey would rip one out of her own ear and cause damage to her lobe.

Recently, the elementary school had an art show and some of the student's art work was on display, including their self portraits. Bailey drew a wonderful picture of herself, including a hair bow which made me proud! However, if you look closely in the picture she has on dangly earrings.



For her 7th birthday, we decided to give her dangly earrings and she was very excited. Her she is displaying her new earrings.
