American Girl outing

For Bailey's 7th birthday she wanted to have a slumber party. Since some of her friends are a little apprehensive about spending the night I told her to hold off on that and see if there was something else she could think of she wanted to do. Her next choice was a trampoline, but Robert and I talked about it and told her that maybe we could all ask Santa for that this Christmas. Ultimately, she decided that her only wish for her birthday was to get an American Girl doll. Since she was little, Bailey hasn't really been into dolls, but once she decided that this was what she wanted she talked about it non-stop. Robert and I decided that this would be her present and she could invite a couple of friends and we would all go to the store together to get the doll and have lunch at the bistro to celebrate. Even her Nana came to enjoy in the fun and helped in buying accessories for the newest addition to our "family."

Bailey got a new outfit for the day and was all ready to go.

Lauryn met us over at the house before leaving for the store.

Even the little boys wanted to get in on having their picture taken. Go figure...

We arrived at the store and the girls were very excited!

Here's the doll Bailey picked out. She's the 2010 doll of the year, Lanie. It's just fitting that she has curly blonde hair and green eyes.

Bailey couldn't wait to get her out of the box and hold her for the first time.

After buying the doll and Nana helping to buy many accessories, we were all shopped out!

It was time to eat lunch and Bailey's friend, Coree, and her mom, Michelle, joined us.

They had high chairs for the dolls to sit and enjoy lunch with you.

Also, they let Coree and Brianna borrow a doll to enjoy lunch with them.

We ordered cute little ice cream cones to have a sweet treat for the girls and they put a candle on Bailey's in honor of her birthday.

Unfortunately, at lunch Lanie's hair messed up, so before we left we had to stop at the beauty shop to fix her up before leaving.

We're as good as new and it's time to go home and get ready for the party.
